While this is done in a more formalized way in Aktivität 157, encourage students to mention forms of waste they have already encountered in this chapter. Have students add an additional example for each form of waste.
There are many videos online that use everyday examples like making coffee for demonstrating the principles of lean manufacturing. Show some and have students take notes.

(2) Have students identify the forms of waste that bothers them the most. What can be done about it? Which forms of waste have already be (partially) eliminated? (e.g. water bottle filling stations instead of plastic bottles) Which forms of waste wouldn’t you want to have eliminated? How would eliminating waste affect workers in certain jobs? Where would eliminating waste lead to massive layoffs?
