You might have difficulties yourself identifying the style. Use the Lösungen to prepare. Bring extra pictures or load them onto your teaching platform. Students can speculate: “Das sieht aus wie Bild x, es ist wohl auch Y. ”

As an additional activity have students locate the buildings on a map. What would a trip to them look like? Which countries would it include?

As in previous exercises like this, this can also be turned into a Ratespiel: “Es hat einen Park und viele Fenster.”
Aktivität 134 Walter Gropius
As an introduction search for pictures on the internet and bring to class: for example of the Stuttgart Weissenhofsiedlung or the Bauhaus inspired Hansaviertel in Berlin. Ask questions like: “Was sehen Sie? Wollen Sie hier wohnen? Was sind die Vorteile und Nachteile? Was wollten die Architekten mit diesem neuen Stil?”
Aktivität 135 + 136: Bauhaus: Design für die Zukunft
135: Try to get the students sense the political implications of this radical new style. Some examples: “Es gibt keine Hierarchien. Die Gegenstände sollen für alle sein. Die Nazis waren gegen diesen Stil. Warum?” (only if time allows).
136: Have students add their personal impressions: “Ist das bequem? Passt es zum Stil Ihrer Wohnung. Was würden Sie auf keinen Fall kaufen? Warum? ”
