Aktivität 71: Neun Freunde
For (3) and (4) it is important to ask back among the rest of the class: Once students report on the answers ask others in the class: “Also, wer ist am größten? Wann hat X Geburtstag?” The point is that when there’s group work the rest of the class doesn’t just sit back and watch.
Aktivität 72: Mittlere Jahrestemperatur in Berlin, Wien und Basel
The point of this exercise is for students to discover trends without leading them on. Their results will show no matter what that it’s getting warmer in all these places. This connects to the unit on Allgäu: Skifahren oder Baden (unit 23).
For students who study this issue, you might ask: is this just local? Are there similar trends in the US in various regions?
