Students write blog entries for themselves today and as they imagine themselves in the year 2030. Provide students with a detailed grading rubric, so they know what is required of them for their end product. You may choose to grade students holistically on their communicative efficacy, on correct grammar and conventions, on aesthetics. Whatever you choose, be sure to communicate the criteria to students in advance. You can have students do a mock-up of a blog entry, or, you may choose to have students post their entries in a common class blog site.
