About the Unit
Aktivität 44: Die Situation
Designate a class period to play a fun review game. Introduce the situation - a game show, where partners (Kandidaten/Kandidatinnen) are asked questions about each other. The goal is to answer as many questions correctly as possible. Introduce gameshow vocabulary.
Aktivität 45: Die Vorbereitung
Pairs of students work together to practice prior to the actual game. Students use the prompts to review questions and to practice Q and A.
In step 3) students should write down answers for themselves and their partners.
Aktivität 46: Die Show
Each student pair now splits up. One student from each pair moves to group 1 and the other student moves to group 2. The game begins when one student pair is selected to start. Candidate 1 is in group 1 and moves to the front of the class. Candidate 1 gives her/his book with the correct answers from Aktivität 45 to group 1. Group 1 becomes the challengers. Group 1 asks candidate 1 questions his/her partner from the previous activities. You should give students a set timeframe for asking questions, e.g. 3 minutes. Then group 2 takes its turn asking candidate 2 questions.
Aktivität 47: Gewonnen oder verloren?
3+ incorrect answers means that the challengers win the round. 0-2 incorrect answers means that the candidates win the round. Then, a new round starts with a new pair of candidates.
