About the Unit
Aktivität 29: Wichtige Personen in Lauras Leben
Have students pre-read the information about the important people in Laura’s life. Point out the vocabulary chart and practice pronunciation. Then, students listen and fill in the missing information. Students can check their answers with a partner and listen again to verify any conflicting answers they may have.
Aktivität 30: Wer? Wie alt? Was? Wortfragen über die wichtigen Personen in Lauras Leben
You can point out that Laura’s pronoun is “sie” and therefore, we use “ihr/ihre” when describing the important people in her life. Students work in pairs to discuss Laura’s Umfeld. Point out the bonus questions.
Aktivität 31: Ist er ihr Bruder?
Students can work together to verbally answer the questions according to the model and then write. Students should write complete, if repetitive sentences to help them automatize the structures.
Aktivität 32: Mehr Fragen
Students write questions and then ask and answer in pairs. One person can ask about Laura and one person can ask about Richard. You may need to provide a few examples on the board, so students understand that adding an s to a name indicates possession and does not change based on gender, etc.
